At this rate, we are going to have a video for every track off of Future Chaos before we even get the damn album… in September. Nonetheless, another great track from what will likely become one of my fave albums of the year. Has hints of Pink Floyd’s ‘On The Run’.
Here’s a remix from the ninremixes.com collective that I found to be quite good. Like the creator, i too always wanted an upbeat remix of ‘Something I Can Never Have’ as it was *the* song that truly turned me onto a continuos love/hate relationship with NIN while camping at a lake with exploding cans of spraypaint thrown into the campfire - I’ll save the story for another day. While this track is good, it is only a cover. The vocals are tolerable and remind me of Zeromancer and need to be a bit more refined… regardless, thank you emhead for making this classic something that I can always have on a mix CD alongside Covenant, VNV and Assemblage 23.
Free preview of Daedelus’ new album due in June via Ninjatune.
The original track is nice, thick broken doom breakbeat electronics while the (preferred) remix squeezes the sounds into a more coherent, extremely infectious electro-pop instrumental.
You must supply an email address to download these free tracks but who’s to say it has to be real?
‘Finally, here is a music video featuring the recording of our live performance of What’s On Your Mind (Pure Energy) and Running at Madison Square Garden, with footage Kristin shot before and during the Freestyle Reunion II concert synced up to the audio track. They may not have allowed her to film our performance, but that doesn’t mean we can’t make a music video!Additionally, check out two new exclusive backstage clips!’
Yeah, I may be alone but I still believe that Information Society are still very relevant. The tracks from the first two albums do sound a bit dated but it is a sound that nobody else has… Electronics that to this day makes me want to rat my hair and dye it twenty shades of pink and sport circuit board inspired jewelry.
They have a new album coming out very soon and I have my hopes. The latest single can be purchased online via various merchants but the other tracks I have previewed on various websites show more promise then the somewhat disappointing EP known as ‘Oscillator’.
