post ebay: soisong - ‘memory box #1′

Here is an insane auction for Ian Pavlov and Peter Christopherson’s Memory Box #1, a collection of items marking ‘a test run open for public view’ of their new project named SoiSong. While being a a truly rabid fan of Chistopherson, I don’t think I could afford the current bid of $509.11.

Some of the items include exclusive recorded material, ticket stubs, personal photographs and my favorite ‘One Vivian WestWood cum-cloth (used)’

An ‘exclusive’ new video one of my faves Animal Collective. This is the track ‘Water Curses’ from the upcoming EP of the same name. Abstract, pixelated goodness.

Not sure where the link came from but I have come across a really great podcast called The Tone Generation. Over ten episodes, this podcast aims to educate and remember the early pioneers of electronic music. Each track is given a moment of description and background of the sounds and the artist.

This is a must-subscribe podcast for anyone interested in or having difficulty finding these often drone-drenched, squeeling, dramatic works.

Yup, we now have Muxtape. After a semi-long internal debate about the ethical, legal and personal thoughts about this service, I came to the conclusion that if I get complaints, songs come down. I am doing this only to promote artists and get no monetary gain from this blog or any service I use.  Enjoy the service while it lasts!

What is it? Well, upload 12 songs and share the link for your shiny new Mix, er MuxTape for others to hear.

I will be regularly switching the songs out so don’t forget to subscribe to the RSS feed as well! ALWAYS BUY WHAT YOU LIKE!

Visit the TWX MuxTape

If you have a Mux you would like to share, post it in the comments.

post mp3s: daedelus - ‘hrs:mins:secs’ +

April 5th, 2008

Filed under: electronic, remixes, synthpop — admin @ 9:30 am

Free preview of Daedelus’ new album due in June via Ninjatune.

The original track is nice, thick broken doom breakbeat electronics while the (preferred) remix squeezes the sounds into a more coherent, extremely infectious electro-pop instrumental.

You must supply an email address to download these free tracks but who’s to say it has to be real?

Getchasum
