It’s been awhile since we’ve heard from Muxtape regarding the RIAA issue so I have caved in and created a Tumblr account. What does this mean to you, the reader? Well, the abridged version reads as follows:
On the topic of social merging, I have also added my Diggs and Flickr image uploads to load into my Tweets. Surely there will be more in the future.
Goddamn, I just realized how fucking insane this social aggregation thing really is.
Re-paraphrase time! Follow me on Twitter and you’ll get all of my Diggs, Tweets, Photos, blog posts, music uploads and whatever services that pop-up in the future that, for some reason or other, don’t exactly belong on The Witness Exchange.
Please feel free to add TWX on any of the mentioned services as a ‘contact’ or ‘friend’. Some service somewhere needs to aggregate everything all the time into one source for all media and all blogging. There are a few with promise but really, none of them are complete… this is a great reason why all readers should join Twitter. I admit, this shit is stupid but not everyone uses the same services yet not everything needs to be a time-consuming blog post. I am trying my best to provide a source for all aspects of what makes up the sum of The Witness Exchange… or perhaps I am self-absorbed and expect people to care about different aspects of the mundane LOL.
The latest Squarepusher album ‘Just a Souvenir’ is now available as a DRM-free, ten dollar download over at Bleep ahead of the full-blown CD/LP release on 10.27. You can a heaer sample track over at Warp’s Myspace page. The sound seems to be similar to ‘Music is Rotten One Note’ in it’s physical, traditional ‘band’ sound.
Just released today, here is the official video for ‘Dull Flame of Desire’ from Bjork’s Volta album. From the first full listen of the album this was easily my fave song due to the intensity and heartbreaking sounds falling from both Bjork’s and Antony Hargarty’s mouths. The video is directed by three runners up from the Innocence video competition from awhile back.
From the upcoming ‘Plutonium Blonde’ album, available 10.07. Also, see here for Pink Dots tour dates. If you haven’t seen them live, you should not miss this tour. I have seen them live about 8 times and they never fail to delivery a quality, emotional, dramatic atmosphere and often you can buy the folks drinks at the venue afterward.
